With Rainsense Module

  1. Disconnect rainsense module connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn wiper switch to OFF position. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between chassis ground and Pink wire terminal of rainsense module connector. If zero volts is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is present, check for short to battery voltage in Pink wire. If Pink wire is okay, replace wiper switch.
  2. Reconnect rainsense module connector. Disconnect wiper motor 8-pin connector. Measure voltage between chassis ground and Light Green wire terminal of wiper motor 8-pin connector. If zero volts is present, check for short to battery voltage in washer motor Red wire. If Red wire is okay, replace wiper motor cover (circuit board). If battery voltage is present, check for short to battery voltage in Light Blue wire. If Light Blue wire is okay, replace rainsense module.
