One Window (Except Left Front) Inoperative At Individual Switch, But Operates From Left Front Switch

  1. Perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. After performing system check, go to next step.
  2. Connect scan tool. Select DATA from left front door module (DDM) DATA list. Operate window switch at malfunctioning door in up and down directions. If scan tool indicates switch operates correctly, go to step 5). If scan tool does not indicate switch operates correctly, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect inoperative window switch. Using DVOM, measure resistance between inoperative window switch connector terminals No. 2 and while pressing inoperative switch to DOWN position, and then measure resistance between inoperative window switch connector terminals No. 1 and No. 4 while pressing inoperative switch to UP position. If resistance for both measurements is 0-2 ohms, go tostep 5). If resistance for both measurements is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  4. Replace inoperative window switch. Recheck system operation.
  5. Disconnect door module connector C1 at inoperative window. Using DVOM, measure resistance between window switch connector terminal No. 4 and door module connector terminal No. 10. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 7). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  6. If right front or right rear window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 451 (Black/White wire) between door module and window switch. If left rear window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 551 (Tan/White wire) between door module and window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  7. Using DVOM, measure resistance between window switch connector terminal No. 2 and door module harness connector terminal No. 9. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 9). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  8. If right front window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 1189 (Orange wire) between door module and window switch. If left rear window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 1188 (Dark Green wire) between door module and window switch. If right rear window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 1187 (Yellow wire) between door module and window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  9. Using DVOM, measure resistance between window switch connector terminal No. 1 and door module connector terminal No. 8. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step 11). If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  10. If right front window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 1184 (Dark Green wire) between door module and window switch. If left rear window is inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 1185 (White wire) between door module and window switch. If right rear window inoperative, repair open in circuit No. 1186 (Gray/Black wire) between door module and window switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  11. Replace door module at inoperative window. Recheck system operation.
