Low Fluid Level Indicator Inoperative

  1. Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Disconnect windshield washer fluid level switch. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . If low fluid level indicator light comes on, go to step 4). If low fluid level indicator light does not come on, go to next step.
  3. Check for short to ground in Brown/Yellow wire between washer fluid level switch and gauge cluster. If circuit is okay, replace gauge cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  4. Replace washer fluid level switch. See WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
