VEHICLES AFFECTED

1996 Cadillac Concours, DeVille, Eldorado, Seville and 1996 Oldsmobile Aurora with 4.0L, 4.6L engines (VINs C, Y, 9 - RPOs L47, LD8, L37).

SERVICE INFORMATION

A PCM calibration enhancement has been released for the 4.0L and 4.6L engines identified above. This PCM calibration enhancement is located on Techline CD ROM Disc #9 dated May 2, 1996. This PCM calibration can be used to service all 1996 model year 4.0L and 4.6L engines with the following customer concerns:

Corrections for low speed (30-35 mph) surge.
Correction for infrequent intermittent harsh shifts.
Enhancements for the following DTC codes:
