Will Not Start

  1. Perform PASS-KEY II(R) SYSTEM CHECK. Using PASS-Key II(R) Interrogator (J 35628-A), check if all keys match. Attempt to start vehicle with all keys. Replace key that does not match. If keys match, connect interrogator to 2-pin ignition switch lock cylinder harness connector located at base of steering column (White/Black and Purple/White wires).
  2. Set interrogator to key code found in previous step. Attempt to start vehicle. If vehicle starts, replace lock cylinder or keys as necessary. If vehicle does not start, check for high resistance in White/Black and Purple/White wires at 2-pin ignition switch lock cylinder harness connector. If wires are okay, cycle interrogator through all key values until vehicle can be started. Manufacture a new key with correct code that starts vehicle.
