Inoperative Instrument Panel Cluster

1. If cluster does not light up, or does not operate normally after it does light up, check ground connections on left kick panel. See Fig 1 .
2. If ground connection is secure, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTICS  . If ground connection is loose, install star washer and tighten to 7 ft. lbs. (9 N.m). If cluster still does not operate, cluster has been damaged by backfeeding ground from power window switch, power mirror switch or left door courtesy lights. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
