Transaxle Range Control Cable: Installation

  1. Install cable through cowl and grommet into cowl.
  2. Route cable under carpet and attach carpet in front left side of passenger compartment.
  3. Install range control cable at range control lever assembly. See Figure .
  4. Install console trim plate and range control knob in passenger compartment.
  5. Install left close out panel and side cover.
  6. Install cable bracket and attaching bolts at transaxle (if bracket replacement was necessary). Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Install range control cable at bracket on transaxle.
  8. Install range control cable at lever on transaxle manual shaft.
  9. Install electrical connectors and washer bottle bolt.
  10. Install air cleaner duct, resonator and housing.
