Pass-Key System: Notes

The Personal Automotive Security System (PASS-Key(R)) is standard equipment on this vehicle. The system is designed to prevent vehicle theft by disabling engine unless a key with a specific electrical resistance is used in steering column. The PASS-Key(R) system and Universal Theft Deterrent system operate completely separate. The system components are Ignition Key, Steering Column Lock Cylinder, PASS-Key(R) Module, Starter Enable Relay, and PCM. See Fig 2 .
