Starting Mode

NOTE: The PCM has several operating modes for fuel control, depending on information it receives from sensors.

When key is first turned "ON", PCM will turn on fuel pump relay for two seconds. The fuel pump runs and builds up pressure in fuel system. The PCM then monitors MAP, IAT, ECT, TP sensors and ICM signal to determine required injector pulse width for starting.
