Alternator & Regulator: Self-Diagnostics: Snapshot

  1. SNAPSHOT recalls system operating specifications present at exact time a PCM malfunction code was set. Up to 3 snapshots may be recalled. To enter SNAPSHOT:
    • Enter self-diagnostics by pressing OFF and WARMER buttons on ECC panel.
    • After segment check of IPC and all trouble codes are displayed, cycle through system choices by pressing LO button on ECC panel. Select PCM system for testing by pressing HI button on ECC panel with PCM displayed as system choice.
    • Cycle through test choices using LO button on ECC panel. Select SNAPSHOT test type by pressing HI button on the ECC panel with SNAPSHOT displayed as test choice.
  2. Immediately following selection of SNAPSHOT, system displays EO## SNAPSHOT?. EO## represents trouble code which triggered storing of snapshot. This snapshot may be selected by pressing HI button on ECC panel. Pressing LO button will cycle to next code-set snapshot.
  3. Once snapshot selection is made, EO## DATA? is displayed. Press HI button to choose this snapshot option or press LO button to cycle to EO## INPUTS?. Press HI button to choose this snapshot option or press LO button to return to EO## DATA?. Pressing OFF button on IPC panel will return to next available code-set snapshot.
  4. Continue selection process until all available stored codes with snapshot information (DATA and INPUT) are displayed (3 maximum). Manual snapshot display option TAKE SNAPSHOT? will now appear. See MANUAL SNAPSHOT . Pressing LO button will result in cycling through code-set snapshots.
  5. Pressing OFF button on ECC panel will stop snapshot selection process and return display to SNAPSHOT test type option. Pressing OFF button on ECC panel a second time will stop test type selection process and return display to beginning of system selection sequence.
