SECURITY Indicator Light Does Not Turn On

  1. If engine does not crank, check power and ground to decoder module. If power and grounds are okay, replace decoder module.
  2. If engine does crank, disconnect decoder module. Measure voltage between module harness connector terminal A8 (Dark Green wire) and ground. If battery voltage is present, connect a jumper wire between module harness connector terminal A5 (Dark Green wire) and ground.
  3. If SECURITY light comes on, check module connector. If connection between module and connector is okay, replace decoder module. If SECURITY light does not come on, repair short to voltage in Dark/Green wire.
