BCM-To-PCM Data Malfunction In Circuit No. 491

If PCM fails to receive data from BCM terminal D3 on circuit No. 491, it will set Code E47 immediately. Data will continue to be sent to BCM on circuit No. 526. Since BCM continues to receive data, Code F32 is not set immediately and instantaneous fuel economy reading will be accurate.

Upon entering self-diagnostics, BCM will attempt to request diagnostic data from PCM, but it cannot due to malfunction in circuit No. 491. If diagnostic data is not received by BCM, Code F32 will set. BCM will be unable to display PCM Code E47 stored in PCM memory.
