Disabling System
- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position.
- Remove SIR fuse No. 7 at instrument panel fuse block. Disconnect Yellow 2-pin SIR connector at base of steering column. Wait 15 MINUTES before working on vehicle.
