EVO Input Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect EVO control module connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage at Pink/White wire terminal of EVO control module connector.
  2. If battery voltage is not present, check C/C fuse in engine compartment fuse block. If fuse is okay, repair open or short to ground in Pink/White wire between C/C fuse and EVO control module.
  3. If battery voltage is present, turn ignition off. Measure resistance between ground and Black wire terminal of EVO control module connector. If 5 or more ohms resistance is measured, repair open in Black wire between EVO control module and ground.
  4. If less than 5 ohms resistance is measured, raise and support rear of vehicle with wheel off ground. Start engine. Place transmission in Drive. Measure voltage between Pink/White and Yellow/Black wire terminals of EVO control module connector.
  5. If voltage varies between 7 and 12 volts, go to next step. If voltage does not vary between 7 and 12 volts, check for open or short to ground in Yellow/Black wire circuit between EVO control module and VSS buffer. If circuit is okay, replace VSS buffer.
  6. Check for poor connection at EVO control module connector. If connection is okay, replace EVO control module.
