Hydraulic Unit: Notes

The Anti-Lock Brake and Traction Control System utilizes an integral hydraulic unit, mounted on the cowl, which provides the functions of booster and master cylinder. In addition, the hydraulic unit provides brake fluid pressure modulation for each of the individual wheel circuits as required during anti-lock braking. The hydraulic unit consists of several independent components. See Fig 1 .
