Manipulate CKT 400 and 401 wiring and check affected wiring for its location especially around spark plug wires. Remove and reinstall the VSS, engine to dash, and PCM connectors to ensure that they are latched or the connecting screw is properly secured. Code Snapshot data can provide comparative information concerning RPM and MPH, if Code EO75 data is available. If wiring and connectors check out OK substitute a known good VSS sensor and retest.
