Rear Suspension: Description

The C and H bodies use an independent rear suspension, supported by 2 ball joints, control arms, coil springs and non-serviceable struts. Air adjustable struts are standard on C body and optional on H body. Stabilizer bar is used to minimize body roll. Control arms are equipped with suspension adjustment links for toe adjustments. See Fig 1 .

On all bodies, hub and bearing assembly is connected to the suspension system by the knuckle and struts. Hub and bearing assembly are a complete unit and cannot be serviced individually. Some models use Electronic Level Control (ELC) to maintain proper ride height under various load conditions.
