Action Taken:
Disengage cruise control.
Code EO65 will detect a cruise control servo position sensor shorted to ground. Cruise servo position sensor is a potentiometer that changes resistance with servo position. Code EO65 sets when ECM detects a low voltage indicating a short to ground in cruise servo position sensor circuit
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
Test Number 1) ECM data value ED70 displays servo position. Range is approximately 4 to 94 percent. If servo will not go to full stroke, the vacuum supply, servo, or vacuum brake release circuit are leaking.
Test Number 2) Check dash to engine connector as possible source of intermittent in signal line.
