Entering Self-Diagnostics

NOTE: The Electronic Climate Control (ECC) panel and Driver Information Center (DIC) make up the Climate Control Driver Information Center (CCDIC). See Fig 1 .
  1. With ignition switch in the ON position, simultaneously push OFF and WARMER buttons on ECC panel. See Fig 1 . Continue to push OFF and WARMER buttons until the segment check appears on the ECC, DIC and Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
  2. When the segment check appears (all segments illuminate), system has entered self-diagnostic mode. Release both buttons.
  3. Illuminating the segments of the IPC and CCDIC ensures all segments of the vacuum fluorescent displays are working properly. On the IPC, however, the turn signal indicators do not light during this check.
  4. If all IPC and CCDIC segments appear, proceed to DISPLAYING TROUBLE CODES in this article. Failure of any segment to illuminate may result in inaccurate test results. Any inoperative segments of the CCDIC display must be replaced before proceeding with the self-diagnostic process. If any segment of the IPC requires repair, see IPC SYSTEM SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in this article.
CAUTION: Accessing self-diagnostics for 30 minutes without running engine will cause battery to discharge, resulting in a possible no-start condition. To ensure proper operation, attach battery charger to battery.
