Brake Light Switch

The brake light switch, located on the brake pedal bracket, is also used as an input to the EBCM. The EBCM uses the brake light switch input to verify that a proper hydraulic unit brake apply sequence has occurred. The brake light switch is used in conjunction with the booster piston travel and control pressure switches. A missing brake light switch input will turn the BRAKE warning lamp on and cause a trouble code to set.
