CAM Position Sensor

The cam position sensor is a hall effect switch located in distributor. It provides one pulse per rotation of distributor. The PCM uses cam sensor signal to know location of camshaft for proper fuel distribution. PCM Code E041 will set if PCM receives reference pulses and does not detect any cam sensor pulses.
