The Red BRAKE warning lamp in the IPC is powered through the IP fuse (fuse No. 1 in the front fuse panel) through CKT 250, and receives 12 volts any time that the ignition is in the RUN position. For circuit description, see Figure . There are 3 methods by which the BRAKE lamp can be turned on, including:
- Grounding CKT 852.
- The BCM can turn the BRAKE lamp on by means of the serial data communication link (CKT 800).
- The BRAKE lamp will turn on any time the ABS/TCS has been disabled by the EBCM. The EBCM will hold the ABS/TCS fault line at ground.
