Over-Voltage Protection Relay

The Anti-Lock Brake System is powered through a special over-voltage protection relay which is located under the dash, clipped to the steering column bracket near the EBCM. The over-voltage protection relay is designed to prevent high system voltage from damaging the EBCM and sensor block circuits. If a voltage condition is encountered which exceeds the limitations of the over-voltage protection relay, the relay will protect the EBCM by causing the 20A brake fuse to blow.
