Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

The MAP sensor monitors intake manifold pressure changes due to engine load and speed variations. MAP sensor also calculates barometric pressure under certain conditions, allowing ECM to use sensor readings to provide barometric pressure input. MAP sensor is mounted on rear of intake manifold.
