Trouble Code Output

After the initial LED segment check, ECM trouble codes stored in the computer will be displayed on the Fuel Data Center (FDC). Codes will be prefixed with an "E" (ECM) or "F" (BCM) to indicate which computer detected the malfunction. Record all trouble codes displayed. After all trouble codes have been displayed, or there are no trouble codes in the system, a ".7.0" will appear in the display, indicating system is ready for further tests.

NOTE: In the following table, functions within brackets, in the right column are disengaged while the specified fault remains current (hard).

E15 (2)(8) Open coolant sensor circuit (AIR)
E16 (1)(4)(6) Generator voltage too high (all solenoids)
E18 (2) Open crank signal circuit
E19 (2) Shorted fuel pump circuit
E20 (1) Open fuel pump circuit
E21 (2) Shorted TPS circuit
E22 (2) Open TPS circuit
E23 (2)(7) EST/By-pass circuit problem (AIR & EGR)
E24 (2)(4)(5) Speed sensor circuit
E26 (2) Shorted throttle switch circuit
E27 (2) Open throttle switch circuit
E28 (2) Open 3rd or 4th gear circuit

E64 (3)(6) Car exceeds acceleration limit
E65 (3)(6) Coolant temperature exceeds limit
E66 (3)(6) Engine RPM exceeds limit
E67 (3)(5) Shorted "SET" or "RESUME" circuit
(1) This fault turns on "SERVICE NOW" light.
(2) This fault turns on "SERVICE SOON" light.
(3) This fault does not turn on any light.
(4) This fault disables VCC for entire ignition cycle.
(5) This fault disables cruise for entire ignition cycle.
(6) Cruise is disengaged when this code is set.
(7) This causes system to operate on by-pass spark.
(8) Forces cooling fans on full speed.
(9) Enables canister purge.
