Abs Functional Check: Notes
If the ABS condition is not resolved as a result of the Visual Inspection, the ABS Functional Check should then be performed. The Functional Check steps may be found in Fig 1 . The ABS functional check may lead to several different test methods and various types of diagnostic charts. Due to the fact that ABS trouble codes are erased upon key-off, it may be necessary to test drive the vehicle in an attempt to set and display any ABS trouble codes which may be present.
