SERVICE INFORMATION

Some 1986-1987 DeVilles, Eldorados, or Sevilles may experience intermittent NO CHARGE lamp illumination and/or codes E47 or F32. This condition may be accompanied by any of the following:

Flickering "SERVICE SOON" or "ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM" light.
Flickering "SERVICE NOW" or "ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM" light.
Erratic Fuel Data Panel
Erratic Climate Control Panel

The cause of this condition may be a poor ground connection between the capacitor and distributor base due to a loose or cross threaded hold down screw. See Fig 1 . To repair this condition, make sure there is a star washer under the head of the hold down screw and tighten screw.
