Oil Pressure Indicator

  1. Oil pressure indicator should glow when ignition is on and pressure is below 3-5 psi (.21-.35 kg/cm2 ). If light stays on, disconnect Dark Blue wire at oil pressure sending unit. Light should go out. If light does not go out, check printed circuit. If light goes out, remove sending unit and check pressure with gauge.
  2. If pressure is correct, replace sending unit. If light does not operate, check "gauges" fuse. Disconnect sending unit. Light should glow. If light illuminates, replace sending unit, making sure threads are clean. If light does not glow, check for burned out bulb, broken wire or poor printed circuit connection.
