Fixed Spark Mode Procedure

  1. A fault in the spark timing system will usually set a trouble code "EO23". The initial base timing is set jumpering pins "A" and "B" together at ALDL connector, while not in diagnostic display.
  2. Then, set timing to specification shown on the EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION LABEL. Jumpering pins "A" and "B" together will cause a "Set Timing" message to appear on CCDIC. This indicates an ECM command for initial base timing. See Fig 1 .
