Chart C1 - CCDIC Problem
This chart should be used to identify symptoms relating to CCDIC problem. There are two major observations that must be made: visual check of display and a keyboard functional check.
NOTE:
The following step numbers refer to the numbers in the accompanying flow chart(s).
- If CCDIC display is totally blank, refer to CHART C2. If CCP is blank, but DIC reads "SYSTEM PROBLEM", see CHART C3. Any other display problems are due to CCDIC, and component should be replaced.
- If "Temp/Time" button is the only inoperative button, see CHART C4. The cause could be an open circuit No. 1018. If none of the buttons on engine panel respond, CCDIC or BCM should be replaced.
- If DIC buttons do not respond, check BCM input code "BI30". This checks to see if BCM and related wiring are at fault, or CCDIC is at fault.
- This step checks to see if there is a short to ground in circuit No. 1018, a faulty BCM or a faulty CCDIC.
