Output Test Procedure

When trouble shooting a malfunction, ECM and BCM output cycling can be used to determine if output tests can be actuated regardless of inputs and normal program instructions. Once a test in outputs has been selected the test will display "HI" and "LO" for 3 seconds in each state to indicate the command and output terminal voltage.

Enter diagnostics. See ENTERING DIAGNOSTIC MODE  . Depress the "LO" button on CCP to by-pass trouble codes. Display desired systems by depressing the "LO" button. When desired system is displayed, select desired system by depressing the "'HI" button. Display desired test by depressing the "LO" button until "OUTPUT" appears. Select that test type by depressing the "HI" button.
