DTC B336: Loss Of IPC Serial Data: Intermittents
If only Code B336 shows up as a "History", without any other data codes, check for intermittent faults in the 7 volt power circuit, ground circuit or data line circuit.
NOTE:
The following numbered steps refer to circled numbers on diagnostic chart. See Fig 1 or Fig 2
. For circuit identification, see Fig 3.
- Checks to see if it is an intermittent condition.
- Checks to see if the fault is due to a data circuit problem, or a power or ground circuit problem.
- Checks to see if the data circuit problem is due to the IPC or the wiring.
- Checks to see if the fault is caused by an open circuit No. 800A, No. 800B or an internal IPC malfunction.
- Checks to see if the problem is due to the 7 volt circuits or the ground circuit of the IPC.
- Checks for an open ground circuit, faulty IPC or a faulty Central Power Supply (CPS).
NOTE:
When all diagnosis and repairs are completed, clear codes and verify operation.
