Body Control Module (BCM) Operation

The BCM monitors and controls Electronic Climate Controls (ECC), rear defogger, outside temperature display, cooling fans control, "Fuel Data Center" display information, vacuum fluorescent display dimming, self-diagnostics, and "Retained Accessory Power" system functions.

The BCM consists of input/output devices, CPU, power supply, and memories that coincide with those of the ECM. The BCM exchanges data (information) with the ECM to provide maximum reliability and improved serviceability of body-related systems. See Fig 1 .
