Injection Pump Fuel Lines: Removal
- Remove air cleaner and crossover. Install screened covers over openings in intake manifold. It is not necessary to remove pump to replace a line(s).NOTE: In some cases, it may be necessary to disconnect the intermediate steering shaft. See Removing and Installing Injectors in this article.
- Remove injection pump line clamps. It is not necessary to use a back-up wrench when removing lines from pump.
- Remove injection pump lines. Cap open lines, injectors, and pump fittings. Using a back-up wrench on upper injector nozzle hex, disconnect injection pump lines at injector inlet fittings.
