Performance Flow Charts

In some cases, performance problems may occur without setting any trouble codes. Or, when codes are set, some engine difficulties may persist after all codes have been diagnosed and repaired as directed by the trouble code charts. In either case, further system diagnosis is possible by using the Performance Flow Charts. These charts are located after the trouble code charts, and are proceeded by a table indicating which table to use to diagnose specific engine difficulties.

It is important to note that while it is possible, system components which set trouble codes are generally not the source of performance problems if that code has not been set.
