Vacuum Checking Relay

Performs two functions. Upper part of relay contains a rubber check valve which is opened when engine vacuum is applied at port 5 of the vacuum valve. A spring-loaded diaphragm in the lower part of the relay passes regulated vacuum to the vacuum motor. See Figure.
