Removal Procedure

WARNING:

WARNING:

Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
Steering Wheel Airbag - Remove - Steering Wheel Airbag Replacement
Turn the steering wheel to the straight ahead position.
Steering Wheel - Remove - Steering Wheel Replacement
Steering Column Control Module - Remove - Steering Column Control Module Replacement

Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

NOTE:
The cut line is marked on the instrument panel brace for the removal or installation of steering column.

Cut out the instrument panel brace along the cut line (1) and DISCARD the brace.
Intermediate Steering Shaft @ Vehicle - Remove - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement

Swing down the steering column to disconnect the electric connectors.
