Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Front Compartment Air Deflector - Remove - Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (Base) , or Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (Oil Filter Access)
- Oil Level Indicator Tube - Remove - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement
- Engine Wiring Harness Clip (1) @Thermostat Bypass Hose (2) - Disengage
- Remove the thermostat bypass hose connector bolt (1) and reposition the thermostat bypass hose. Thermostat Bypass Hose Replacement
- Retainer (1) - Disengage
- Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (4) @Starter Solenoid (2) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable (3) - Remove
- If necessary, remove the battery negative cable above the starter. Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement
- Starter Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Starter (1) - Remove
