Radiator Drain Cock Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube from the radiator assembly to access the drain cock. Place a drain pan under the vehicle. Attach a rubber hose to the radiator drain port to guide the coolant into the drain pan. Rotate the radiator drain cock counterclockwise to open.
1	Radiator Drain Cock CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution . Procedures Rotate the radiator drain cock clockwise to close. Remove the drain hose from the radiator drain port. Remove the drain pan. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.

Attach a rubber hose to the radiator drain port to guide the coolant into the drain pan.
Rotate the radiator drain cock counterclockwise to open.

Procedures

Rotate the radiator drain cock clockwise to close.
Remove the drain hose from the radiator drain port.
Remove the drain pan.
Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)
Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
