Installation Procedure

Position the intermediate steering shaft (1) in the vehicle.

Intermediate Steering Shaft (2) @ Steering Gear - Install

CAUTION:

Intermediate Steering Shaft Lower Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 55 N.m (41 lb ft)
1. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
2. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the component. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Intermediate Steering Shaft (2) @ Steering Column - Install
Intermediate Steering Shaft Upper Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 42 N.m (31 lb ft)
1. Thread the cleaned component into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
2. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the component. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Center the steering angle sensor.
