Circuit/System Verification

DTC C0051 49

1. Verify that all harness connectors are installed properly at the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   • If a harness connector at the K43 Power Steering Control Module is not installed properly 
   1. Connect the appropriate harness connector properly at the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
   2. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • If the DTC sets, replace the Steering Gear.
      • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
   3. All OK.
   • Go to next step: If all harness connectors at the K43 Power Steering Control Module are installed properly 
2. Ignition ON.
3. Verify the scan tool Steering Wheel Angle parameter changes when turning the steering wheel.
   • If the parameter does not change 

     Replace the Steering Gear.

   • Go to next step: If the parameter changes 
4. All OK.

DTC C0051 54

1. Ignition ON.
2. Verify that DTC C0051 54 is not set.
   • If the DTC C0051 54 is set 

     Calibrate the K43 Power Steering Control Module. Refer to Power Steering Control Module Calibration 

   1. Verify that DTC C0051 54 is not set.
      • If the DTC C0051 54 is set 

        Replace the steering gear.

      • Go to next step: If the DTC C0051 54 did not set 

        Go to next step: All OK.

   • Go to next step: If the DTC C0051 54 is not set 
3. All OK.
