Component Testing

  1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off
  2. Disconnect the appropriate electrical connector:
    • A24LR Rear Side Door Outside Handle - Left
    • A24RR Rear Side Door Outside Handle - Right
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 5 - Not Pressed
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the component: A24LR Rear Side Door Outside Handle - Left or A24RR Rear Side Door Outside Handle - Right

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  4. Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 5 - Pressed
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the component: A24LR Rear Side Door Outside Handle - Left or A24RR Rear Side Door Outside Handle - Right

    • Go to next step: If less than 3 ohms 
  5. All OK.
