    • Go to next step: If Inactive
  5. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 7 and the low reference circuit terminal 1.
  6. Verify the scan tool Windshield Washer Switch parameter is Active.
    • If not Active
    1. Test circuit 94 for a short to voltage.
      • If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found.
    2. Test circuit 94 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    3. Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
    • Go to next step: If Active
  7. Test or replace the S78 Turn Signal.

Windshield Washer Pump Malfunction

  1. Ignition OFF, and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the connector at the G24 Windshield Washer Pump. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal 2 and the ground circuit terminal 1, ignition ON.
  3. Verify the test lamp does not turn ON and OFF when commanding the Windshield Washer Relay Active and Inactive with a scan tool.
    • If the test lamp turns ON and OFF

Replace the G24 Windshield Washer Pump

    • Go to next step: If the test lamp does not turn ON and OFF
  4. Verify a test lamp illuminates between ground circuit terminal 1 and B+.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate
    1. Test circuit 392 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    2. Test circuit 250 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    3. Replace the X50A Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block.
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
  5. Ignition OFF, connect the connector at the G24 Windshield Washer Pump. Disconnect the X1 connector at the X50A Engine Wiring Harness Junction Block, ignition ON
  6. Verify a test lamp does not illuminate between control circuit terminal A5 and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates
    1. Test circuit 228 for a short to voltage.
      • If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found.
    2. Replace the G24 Windshield Washer Pump.
