Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Clean the contact surfaces between the transfer case and the transmission.
Support the transfer case with a suitable jack, and secure with suitable straps.
- Raise and align the transfer case in the correct position in relation to the transmission.
- Install the transfer case (2) to the transmission.
- Install the transfer case-to-transmission bolts (1) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb-ft).
Connect the transfer case vent hose (1) to the transfer case (2).
Install the transfer case-to-transmission bolt (1) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb-ft).
Install the transmission to transfer case bolt (1) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb-ft).
Install the brace bolt (1) and tighten to 100 N.m (74 lb-ft).
- Connect the shift actuator electrical connector.
- Install the transfer case bracket. Transfer Case Bracket Replacement
- Install the transmission mount strut bracket. Transmission Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (All Wheel Drive) , or Transmission Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
Install the front transmission mount through bolt. Transmission Mount Replacement (Front) , or Transmission Mount Replacement (Left)
- Install the front exhaust pipe. Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement
- Connect the two piece propeller shaft from the transfer case. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement
- Check power transfer case fluid level. Refer to
