Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

Install drain plug (2) and seal and tighten to 39 N.m (29 lb-ft).
Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with the recommended fluid. Refer to:
Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers , or

Approximate Fluid Capacities .
Install fill plug (1) and seal and tighten to 39 N.m (29 lb-ft).
Inspect the cross member to ensure that no oil has drained into the cross member cavity. Clean the cross member if necessary.
