Circuit/System Verification

NOTE:
- It is necessary to have the vehicle in an open outside area where a cellular call can be successfully placed and GPS data can be received from satellites.
- The vehicle should be located in a quiet area.
- Ignition ON/vehicle in Service Mode, press the blue OnStar Call button.
- Verify that your voice is heard clearly by the OnStar Call center.
- If your voice can not be heard clearly
Refer to OnStar Microphone Malfunction (IO5/IO6/IOB) or OnStar Microphone Malfunction (IOR/IOU/IOT/IOS)
- Go to next step: If your voice can be heard clearly
- If your voice can not be heard clearly
- Verify that the system responds appropriately to all voice commands by pressing the voice command button and attempting to operate the system using multiple voice commands.
- If the OnStar system does not respond to any voice commands
Replace the K73 Telematics Communication Interface Control Module
- If the OnStar system responds to some, but not all voice commands
For tips on proper pronunciation, refer to OnStar Description and Operation (UE1 with IOB/IO6) , OnStar Description and Operation (UI3) , or OnStar Description and Operation (UE1 without IOB/IO6) .
- Go to next step: If the OnStar system responds to all voice commands
- If the OnStar system does not respond to any voice commands
- All OK.
