Pedestrian Impact Detection Sensor Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Carefully remove the pedestrian impact detection sensor from the front bumper fascia energy absorber.
- Enable the system. Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling
NOTE:
- Inspect the absorber/EA foam for any cracks or damage and inspect pedestrian sensor tube for any cuts or puncture holes.
- Replace front bumper fascia or sensor system if any damage is found. This can cause faulty readings with the pedestrian impact sensor.
- The pedestrian sensor is a press fit into the absorber.
