Installation Procedure

  1. Fill the transfer case to the bottom of the fill plug hole with the recommended fluid. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers , and Approximate Fluid Capacities .

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Install a NEW fill plug (1) and seal and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Lower the vehicle.
