Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Open the battery fuse block cover (1).
- Loosen the battery positive cable clamp fastener (2).
- Remove the battery fuse block (3) from the battery positive post (4) and set aside.
Remove the battery retaining bracket fastener (2) and detach the retainer bracket (1) from the top of the battery.
Using the battery assist handles (1), remove the battery (2) from the engine compartment.
