Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON.
NOTE:
Refer to Liftgate System Diagnosis for a guide to power liftgate functions and failure modes to determine the course of action when the power liftgate malfunctions
Verify DTC B153E is not set.
- If DTC B153E is set
  Refer to: DTC B153E - Liftgate Angle Sensor Malfunction
- Go to next step: If DTC B153E is not set
Verify the liftgate will OPEN and CLOSE when commanding the Liftgate Open/Close with a scan tool.
- If the liftgate does not OPEN or CLOSE
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the liftgate does OPEN and CLOSE
All OK.
